Antenatal Hypnobirthing Birth Preparation
-
£325
This is the most in-depth hypnobirthing and birth preparation course I offer including a total of 10(ish) hours of 121 sessions delivered in person* or online. This is for you and your birth partner(s).
At booking, I’ll ask you to complete a form with some information on where you’re at, how you’re feeling about your upcoming birth and any specific areas you want to focus on in our sessions. It’s really important for me to know who you are, where you’re at and anything that’s important to you including any specific cultural or lifestyle priorities.
I’ll then prepare the outline structure for the sessions and run this past you before we get started - this ensures the course content is matched with your expectations. Having said that, I’m flexible and can adapt as we go along if anything comes up we need to dig deeper on.
We can break the time down as you like, most people do 4-5 sessions of 2-2.5 hours but I can also accommodate shorter or longer sessions if needed.
My approach is really relaxed, chatty and informal so whilst I’ll be giving you lots of helpful info, tips and research I’m also there to listen and hold space for you and to help you explore your wants, needs and boundaries. This is very much an interactive process and very much not me just telling you loads of stuff.
If you want more ongoing support after our sessions there is an option to upgrade to one of my virtual doula packages or birth planning sessions at a discounted rate.
*In person is available in West Lothian, or anywhere in the central belt for an additional travel fee

We’ll spend around 4 hours together in either one or two sessions and this can be in person* or online. This is for you and your birth partner(s).

A 2 hour session in person* or online preparing you for the breastfeeding journey that lies ahead.
We will cover the ‘how’ of breastfeeding including hormones, positioning and attachment, normal infant feeding behaviour and common issues.
Supporting all of this and with the aim of supporting your emotional wellbeing and connection with your baby, we will also incorporate relaxation and mindfulness tools you can implement going forward. At the core of all of this is connection and the bond with your baby above all else.
If you want more ongoing support after our sessions there is an option to upgrade to one of my virtual doula packages (including postpartum, where further breastfeeding support can be given) at a discounted rate.

From time to time I run group hypnobirthing courses and pregnancy relaxation classes, where there is enough demand to justify hiring a venue.
If you would like to join the waitlist for either of these, please get in touch!
What I offer in terms of antenatal education and preparation is completely different to your typical NHS antenatal classes - because I put you at the forefront. I am not about policies and guidelines (though if you’re choosing to engage with ‘the system’ we will of course talk about these and how to navigate them) - I’m about getting to grips with what’s important to you and how to best prepare to have your needs met and your boundaries upheld.
Birth physiology will of course be a fundamental element of our sessions, because you need to know what the heck is about to happen to your body and why, which in turn will help you to be less fearful and also to understand the impact of any decisions you may be faced with along the way.
Autonomy, choice and advocacy are also key aspects you need to get to grips with. You need to understand the power you hold, because everything is your choice. And that sounds easy, but there is deep rooted conditioning you may need to overcome, and we will work on that as well as understanding your rights, decisions you might need to make and how to get the relevant information to make those decisions.
Finally but maybe most importantly, we will focus on mindset, and this is really what makes the hypnobirthing aspect of our sessions unique and so powerful. The mind has such a huge impact on how our bodies behave and we will focus on mindset, mindfulness and relaxation tools to support this.
